The Scouting Report
Paul coached in the Chicago Catholic League for decades. Paul likes to eat...a lot. Scouting games, sometimes 35 miles away, presented opportunities to sample local cuisine. He became passionate about Chicago neighborhoods and eateries.
Once a coach and now a parent of two CCL hoopers, Mike sought guidance on how to fill his time with tasty options as he navigated traffic before and after games (Saturday mornings too). He began to text his old friend Paul every week. His sons, needless to say, caught on and began to ask, "hey dad, where are we eating tonight before heading home after the game?" A tradition began.
Paul and Mike - with the help of a CCL graduate and friend Rob - created this site to share their joy of family owned Chicago restaurants. Food and drink inspire conversations and memories to be shared for a lifetime. Happy trails!
